Pinnacle Marketing Acquires Hanson Directory Service
The expanded company will publish more than 300 phone directories across the US
Newton, Iowa, February 11, 2020 — Chicago-based DirecTech, LLC announced today the sale of its telephone directory business, Hanson Directory Service, to Pinnacle Marketing group of Bemidji, MN.
HDS, which currently publishes 68 directories for local, independent phone companies in 15 states becomes part of Pinnacle Marketing Group, a directory publisher with 242 publications for local independent phone companies in 36 states.

DirecTech employs 32 people from its headquarters in Newton. The vast majority of its employees will be joining Pinnacle, while a core group will remain with DirecTech. DirecTech acquired HDS in November 2016 from the founding family who originated and successfully ran the business for over 40 years. DirecTech stream-lined and modernized the HDS business, bringing new digital disciplines to its operations.

Going forward, DirecTech will focus its activities on its rapidly growing indoor digital newsboard business with operations in Des Moines, Minneapolis, Corpus Christi, and Suburban Chicago. DirecTech is also actively involved in N-Compass TV, an ad supported indoor digital billboard company headquartered in Denver that has nearly 2000 locations in the US through 100 local dealers.
